Thanks Rotor. I love the crop dusters. They are a great bunch of guys and a lot of them do other flying, and some become performers (ie Wayne Handley/Shawn Tucker). They are going to take me up in these helicopters next time and do some air to air stuff. Can't wait.

These were taken off the I-5 near Harris Ranch (Coalinga). I shoot several crop dusting outfits and these are one of my favorite to shot. They run 5 helicopters from it. 3- Hueys and 2- Bell 47's.

Here is another odd Heli. It's a Bell 47 with a modified front. They call them Tomcats.

Here is a side shot. They call these Tomcats. They are the famous Helicopters used during Korea (M*A*S*H). Bell 47's

Nice head-on shot Brian. Looks like a Continental Copters El Tomcat Mk 6. Go to http://cellmath.med.utoronto.ca/B47/47Home.html for the whole history. Click on History: Close-ups and down to Tomcat Memoirs. Great resource site for everything Bell 47. I spent some time swamping for a Tomcat Mk 5 and a Hiller 12D and the Cat was definitely my favorite. Post more pics if you can.   Dean Helo

I wonder what the benefits of flying ag in a helo are over a regular plane.  anyone know if there are any in terms of cost, getting into smaller, harder to reach fields, etc.?
