Cheesy   hahahaha,  nooooo,   Favre Steakhouse is alive and well.  Just because there's no love between him and Packers management anymore doesnt mean he's out of the restaurant biz.

Does anyone know if they charge admission for the weekend BEFORE the show - this coming weekend?  It is not officially part of Airventure but they have a lot of aircraft arrivals.  I wonder how I could get in or do you just walk in.  There is nothing listed on the tickets page for a price for the pre-weekend.

They seem to get increasingly picky as the weekend goes on (ex. last year I got to ride my bike around the grounds on Saturday, but not Sunday).  It depends on who you run into at the gate.    I'm not sure if there's an official policy on admission Sat. and Sun., but I've seen people at the entrances looking semi-official.

Cheers,

Good question!  I've always been coming in from the campground...

There must be a phone-number for Airventure info (?)
http://www.airventure.org/2008/about/contactus.html (I'm not sure which one...)

Cheers,

I just got back from the Jet-pack demo, and I have to say it was very disappointing.  The crowd was huge, and they took forever to get the event going.  The "flight" was tethered and from my spot about 10 rows back all I could see was a couple of white fan shrouds and a black helmet peeking above the heads of the people in front of me.

wow...  Sad

"Charlie Foxtrot", as they say...

Hopefully someone who got into the area will have some good photos.

The video of the proposed jet-pack demonstration was very leading with older and contemporary scifi artwork and just a glimpse  of parts of the jet-pack. I expected as much...not being much...even national press failed to pick up the event with any care leading up to the "flight."

Nice to know I didn't miss anything  Afro
