Is there a Canon Professional Service (CPS) in the US similar to the one in Europe?

If so, does anyone have contact details?

TIA

Mike, here's the info on a place here in Southern Califronia. I'm not sure it's an actual CPS but it may lead you in the right direction. I've been to this place a couple times and it was packed with a line out the door. Lot's of (by appearence) professional photographers. I had a chance to speak with them while waiting my turn and they all had good things to say about it.

Here's the details:

Canon Development America's Inc.
15975 Alton Parkway
Irvine, California 92618

Ph. 949 932 3100

Hope this is of some help

I think you're looking for

Canon USA Inc.
One Canon Place
Lake Success, NY 11042-1198
Attn: Canon Professional Services
(516) 328-4283 Phone
(516) 328-4809 Fax

CPS members are categorized into three types: working press, freelance and commercial/studio.

Not professional services, but a "regular" Canon service story:

Canon 500mm seemed to have less snappy AF than I was used to. Fearing repair time might push me past the Tyndall show, I overnighted the lens to Canon NJ. They got it Thursday, diagnosed it Friday and fixed it today, Saturday. I'll have it back after only one week to include shipping time. Nice!  Afro

Of course, it would have been nicer if the lens hadn't broken in the first place (to the tune of $385), but for a precision instrument, I do bang it around a lot, so I'll live.

I just heard that Canon revamped their CPS service so they have different membership levels based on a subscription fee and the gear that you own,
