We plan on doing both over the next few years, but which one would you like to see next year?

I'm gonna go with WWII Navy, AAC would be nice, but I personally don't see the navy birds all that often. Would have gone well with the Blue's last year! But yeah, Navy would be good, especially if you could work a Pacific theatre re enactment into it.

I mean with the Gathering of Mustangs this year and the types of AAC you have had in the last years (P-40's, P-51's. P-47's), Definately go with the navy theme.

Corsairs, Hellcats, Wildcats, Bearcats, Tigercats, Catalinas.  Bring back the Cat Flight!!!

The FJ-3B Fury, T-2, TA-4J, the hopes of Cavanaughs Panther Flying.

Id love to see the Ducks again

Also bring in the trainers from the navy during WWII, SNJ's Stearmans, that beautiful N3N Yellow Peril.

Also try to get a Super Hornet or a Legacy Hornet demo to showcase the past and present of naval history, id love to see the legacy flight that was flown this year or last year down in Texas.  FJ-3, Bearcat, Super Bug and a Hellcat.

So as you can see, Navy gets my vote!

The one good thing about the AAC theme is we are going to have the battle back (bigger and better), and this would go well together.

WWII AAC theme, if you say the reenactment is going to be bigger and better then the AAC theme will work perfect again with the p-47 and p-51 flying over the battlefield. Are you planning to have the battle in the beanfield again?

I was just wondering what tanks your planning on having for the reenactment, it sure would be nice to see a Tiger or Panther.

Of the two options, I vote US Navy. But I still think us cargo theme would be great, mainly the c-47/dc-3.  but there is the C-5, c-130, c-2, c-9, sa-16, and c-46. not as famous as the fighters or bombers but just as important. plus the c-47 was the first spooky.
Lastly, i know every event has a budget, but the battle in the bean field was missed. planes v. tanks, not sure who wins?

I vote Navy and the corsair idea is great.   I'd love to see a great collection of Navy warbirds and then some modern stuff like a superhornet for 2008.

I was just at the GML 2007 at Rickenbacker in Columbus and while it was absolutley wonderful it was lacking any Navy aircraft....It would be wonderful to see a flight of Corsairs once before I get to old to attend and airshow.  Growing up Pappy Boyington was a hero of mine and evers since seeing the TV show I've always wanted to see that.....I'll drive up from Ohio.....Or do the 4 B-17s like in 2003 which I would also love to see

We are looking at a mass C-47/airborne drop into the WWII battle. I know it would be cool, but would it be worth it?

Michael - a mass airdrop from C-47's would be great - but in my opinion only worth it if you can get a least 3 to 4 C-47s/R4Ds dropping at least 8 to 12 paratroopers from each airplane.  That's what I think would be needed to create a "MASS" airdrop.

Can't wait to hear next year's theme.

And as I have always said the strength and appeal of T.O.M. comes from the large variety of warbirds (prop and jet), not just the theme.  The number and variety of aircraft is what carries this show in the event of too many no shows among "theme" aircraft.
