Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 August 2007 the Kecskemét airshow took place.
Despite the unpleasant weather forecast, Saturday turned out quite nice.

Some interesting participants could be found there this weekend. What to think of the Croatian airforce (Pilatus PC-9, Wings of Storm - demo team) the Serbian airforce (G-4 Super Galeb and J-22 Orao) and the Romanian Airforce (IAR 330 Socat).

Seen here is a PC-9 of the Croatians and a Mi-24 V Hind of the Hungarian airforce during their display.

It was nice to see some other FC-ers there. Please send in your pics!

Enjoy,

Lucien

Hi there!

I just came back from the airshow in Kecskemet, Hungary couple of hours ago. Generally I was there to take reference shots for myself, and to our further print projects in the future, and to get into an E-3A AWACS. So about the 90% if the images I've taken are rivets, bolts, names, insignias, etc...Smiley

From the ones which are not like this, here you can find some! This year US brought over only 2 F-16C's from Aviano. Usually they used to visit with some Hog, Eagle, Hercules, etc. So generally you can see European and Russian types ranging from Mig-29, Su-22, L-159 to Harriers GR7 and so on....enjoy Wink

You can find them here http://picasaweb.google.com/zoltan.pocza as usual.
Sorry for the low quality of the images, but the weather and light conditions were really bad (heavy rain almost the whole day Sad ), and I have a crappy camera only!

A small teaser for you

For more, please go to the album!

Greetings, neu

Weather stayed dry but there was too much smog in the air.
Anyway, again this was an excellent show with a few extras  Afro

Where did they hide the Swedish S100 during the airshow?Huh Undecided
I also noticed the dome of a AWACS in the far left corner of the airfield, but it was certainly not part of the show!  Huh

By the way, great meeting you there, Hans!   Afro

Some more pics from the Orao (Saturday)

That was a bit strange.
The first time I learned of the presence of an E-3 was on our way out, when Arjan and me walked into an E-3 crewman.

Hans.

BTW, show us your pictures, Arjan!   Wink

The AWACS was part of the airshow, but it stationed at a closed area. If you were patient enough, you could get to that plane. I had a tour aboard, as you can see in my photos here: http://picasaweb.google.com/zoltan.pocza I was talking to the crew as well, and they invited me to an extra round in the afternoon. Unfortunately for some reasons all visits has been canceled around 0530 Sad

Greetings, neu

Baby Blue was a long way from home  Roll Eyes. Due to lots of haze a lot of my pictures are not what I expected.
Here a few more from a very interesting trip to Hungary.
