Me-108/Nord 1002 G-ETME, wearing her new "wolf's clothing" this year. It's a 6 Staffel/JG51 Me-109 scheme (Pas de Calais, summer 1940), adjusted to suit. It isn't entirely off-the-wall as while there's no evidence of a 108 painted precisely like this, there are photos of other squadrons with hack 108s painted up nearly identically to their 109s.

The details of individual markings such as the stencils and artwork were heavily researched and are, I'm assured, spot-on... the '14' is a randomly chosen number.

The aircraft is of course available for airshows in the UK and Europe with impressive pyrotechnic backup and other aircraft in support (e.g. another 108, or a Spitfire...) to put on a spectacular display - PM me for contact details if you'd like to book it.

With many thanks to Frank for flying the photo ship and Simon for the less than excellent backseat driving - I think aeroplanes with black crosses on scare the poor chap.

Paintwork and posing in black leather by Clive Denney of Vintage Fabrics - thanks Clive!

Excellent stuff as always, Damien!

Love the backgrounds you've got on some of those photos, really lifts the shots above the ordinary.

I used to be with "it", but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't "it", and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

It'll happen to you!

Thanks chaps. Luckily there were a good range of backgrounds to be had within a very short distance of the airfield - this isn't always the case!
