So now that I'll have some money to spend next week the D200 body only is sold out from B&H, Ritz and Hunt's photo (NE chain). I see Amazon has a new body only for $1440.00.

Should I worry about buying a camera from them or do they buy just like any other warehouse distribution store?

Not sure when I could expect Nikon to deliver to Ritz or B&H. Sad

I got my new body from Cameta Camera, I think new (this was almost 8 months ago) was less than $1299.

Congrats on the upcoming purchase of the D200......................you'll love it Dance

Dave, I have bought several things from Amazon with no problems including a Canon 400L which I got yesterday. Photo's to follow in general aviation. The only issue that I have had with them was really with DHL and Amazon was very responsive sending a replacement order immediately.

I've bought lenses, etc from Amazon in the past with no problems whatsoever.

Be aware, however, that Nikon seem to be routing orders for this product to Cameta Camera, so you're not buying from Amazon directly.
