During our photoshoot, Bill Stein asked mom if she wanted to fly.  Bill is a local hero 'round these parts being the #3 pilot for the Red Barons as well as flying airshows in his wildly painted Zivko Edge 540.  Yes, even Mom had to call in sick to work for this one!

Friday night was the Butch Voris Tribute.  Roy 'Butch' Voris is better known as the First Blue and we were fortunate to have him debut his biography at this year's Salinas show.  Evening activities included a twilight show by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and a rare nighttime JATO launch by Fat Albert.  The evening was followed by dinner and speeches from individuals such as the author, Wayne Handley, RADM Turcott, the artist, BA#1 Russ Bartlett, Snowbird #1 Steve Will and others.
