And one of the old Border Patrol OH-6's.  THese old clunkers are still flying, which is amazing considering they have combat time on them from Vietnam.

Great shots Tony, quite a nice variety of choppers!

I love these themed threads!

FWIW, I think the line may have been ``At least I still have my motor skills.``  But it was all kinda fuzzy... - M.M. aka Rainman

Caught this one in the local business park last year.  A pair of motorcyclists collided with some pretty tragic results...

1/2 second handheld at 100mm amazingly enough.

Kidding, only kidding.  Yeesh.

Back on topic, ASTREA on the pad before every photographer's dream: "Brown Tower, permission to buzz the truck in the middle of the field"

Thanks goes to Tony who got me that spot.

With smoke from the fires Chad mentioned, interesting colors get thrown around with sunset.  Cought this Mercy Air MD900 Explorer at Palomar as the sun set on a very busy day for them.

MD900 up close in awesome lighting as the sun shines through layers of wildfire smoke as it sets.

A couple of the local Sheriffs helo headed out today.  Full frame at 38mm... man was it windy.  Mucho, mucho gracias to gungadan and his cohorts for the access and mini-airshow.

I used to like hinds...but IMHO they're kinda ugly.  I'm not a fan of military colors either...I like colorful helos!!!

Here's a shot from a while back and the same image used for my website.  This is a small crop of a much larger picture.  Photo taken at Falcon Field in Mesa AZ with Agfa Ultra 100.  More Agfa Ultra pictures coming tomorrow too (film getting developed)!

Very good shots Dan, the last one is very good.

Here's one of my favorites out of the batch that got developed yesterday.  This is a Hughes 369C pieced together with a 369D model engine and a "yanerd" nose while still maintaining the original 4 bladed main rotor system and v-tail.  The pilot/owner is enroute to CA from FL.  Full frame, no cropping & shot with Agfa Ultra 100.
