This Skycrane is owned by the local utility company and is constructing the Sunrise powerlink for San Diego.

Putting the pick in place with a little bird spotting the position.  Then the steel workers climb up the tower and secure it into place.

doesnt fly any more, but Sikorsky brought their X-2 by Fort Campbell a few weeks ago and I had a chance to get up close with it. awesome bird
